Fight On: Trojans Upset Bruins

Wow! What a game. I don’t think that I’ve ever been more excited after a USC Basketball game than I am right now. For once this season, the Trojans played up to their potential and actually pulled off a big-time victory. They played very well against Kansas and Memphis but they were unable to pull [...]

UCLA to Fans: Leave Wooden Alone

Apparently UCLA officials want all fans that attend Bruin basketball games at Pauley Pavilion to let the 97-year-old John Wooden watch basketball uninterrupted. Spokesman Marc Dellins announced on Wednesday that fans won’t be allowed to continuously walk up to the former coach during games and ask for autographs.
UCLA Coach Ben Howland strongly favored the decision, [...]

Live Blog: Las Vegas Bowl

Because of my crazy schedule, I usually don’t get very many chances to do live blogs. So over the course of the holidays, I plan on doing a few live blogs. If you aren’t familiar with live blogs, don’t worry. During the game, I am just going to use the comments section in order to [...]

Bowl Preview: Papa Johns, New Mexico, Las Vegas

(19) BYU v. UCLA: Las Vegas BowlIn the first meeting back in September, UCLA edged the Cougars by ten points, but in actuality, BYU dominated the Bruins. Despite the final score, BYU outgained UCLA offensively 435-236, but three turnovers doomed the Cougars. Don’t expect BYU to make so many mistakes this time around.
This is a [...]

Fortunately, for for the viewers’ sake, id the fact that both teams are coming off good wins last weekend and appear to relatively healthy. While Cal’s offense was hailed as the Pac [...]

Who says this town needs the NFL? Los Angeles is home to some of the most successful sports franchises in history. The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers have won a combined twenty world championships. [...]

Cowan or Olson?

After Saturday’s performance against Washington, Patrick Cowan appears to be the fan-favorite at quarterback for UCLA. He played so well against the Huskies that many believe that he, not Olson, should be the start in Westwood. But for now, there will be no quarterback controversy, as Cowan has been ruled out of the Oregon State [...]

Dorrell and Bruins Roll Over

After Saturday’s loss Karl Dorrell proved once again that he is incapable of leading a collegiate football team. Sorry but after another terrible loss to a non-BCS team, Dorrell has proven that he simply is not fit to be a Head Coach.
While the game was only 14-6 at halftime, the Bruins completely collapsed in the [...]

Saturday Forecast: Week 3

(14) Nebraska v. (1) USCSam Keller has been waiting to get another shot at the Trojans but he did not expect to aim for revenge in a Nebraska uniform. The Arizona State transfer and his fellow Cornhuskers will get a chance to show the country that they have returned as a national powerhouse. With the [...]
